LOST RABBIT’S TOWN CENTER UNDER CONSTRUCTION
Construction
of Lost Rabbit’s town center should be complete in the next 18 months, with the
first buildings already being built.
Lost Rabbit is a 260-acre master-planned community located approximately
12 miles northeast of Jackson, Mississippi,
in Madison County, MS. Situated
on some of the most beautiful land in central Mississippi, Lost Rabbit, Madison
MS overlooks the 33,000 acre Ross Barnett Reservoir with
almost a mile of shoreline, and is sheltered by the Natchez Trace Parkway at
the end of Hoy Road, just east of the city limits of Madison, MS.
The town
center will be the heart and soul of Lost Rabbit, Madison MS. With three
buildings currently under construction, the development of a village of water
is becoming a reality. Each building,
at a cost of $20 million, will offer 72,000 square feet of commercial and
residential space on Lost Rabbit’s
marina at the Ross Barnett Reservoir.
The initial project in what will eventually be a five- block town center
involves four architects
and three developers
and builder.
The
100 Port Street Madison, MS building
includes retail space on the first floor, office space on the second floor and
luxury condos on the third floor. Pinnacle Trust is one of the many tenants
expected to move into the building. At the Republic Street building, nine
three-story units may be customized to accommodate residential and commercial
space. The building will feature balconies,
terraces and a courtyard. On the send
and third floors will be four three-bedroom condos. The first floor will be reserved for commercial space. The loft style structure will include garage
parking and elevator access. The marina
will include 124 boat slips, and additional town center buildings are being
designed for 2009. Construction of the
mixed -use Lost
Rabbit, Madison MS began in 2004
between the Natchez Trace Parkway and the Ross Barnett Reservoir. Lost Rabbit neighborhood of Madison,
MS offers its residents the following amenities:
- Marina (120+ slip facility
scheduled to open in the Spring of 2008) - Tennis
- Health Facilities
- Walking trails (some of the
trails are complete and many others will be continually added as the
development grows) - Playgrounds (our first

Annandale Subdvision Madison MS

Mayor vows road fix in Annandale
Annandale Subdivision residents have complained about the condition of their roads for a long time. Rough roads and drainage problems could potentially affect property values in this lovely Madison MS Real Estate Development.It
could take up to $10 million to repair roads in Annandale Subdivision, and while
some county officials admit they don’t know where that money will come
from, that didn’t stop Madison Mayor Mary Hawkins-Butler from promising
to make it happen. Mayor Hawkins made the promise to residents at a
recent town hall meeting held by the Annandale Homeowners Association
at the Chapel of the Cross that featured several county and city
leaders.Annandale is part of the proposed City of Madison MS
annexation plan, so Butler said she is personally getting involved in
the repair efforts. “You will not be sorry, my staff and I
will fight hard for you,” Butler said. “It is embarrassing that roads
like this exist in this community.”She also assured the
homeowners that the Board of Supervisors will help with the problem,
and promised that the roads will be fixed.
When asked why
nothing had been done yet, she replied “We are looking at an $8 million
to $10 million complete re-do. We want to make sure the job is done
right this time.”District 3 Supervisor D.I. Smith, who
represents the area, was also on hand to address the crowd, but was not
as enthusiastic about the possibilities of a quick fix.“Reserve
funds are getting smaller and smaller,” Smith explained. “There is no
way the county can afford to make all the repairs at one time.”
Smith
suggested a yearly expenditure of about $200,000 a year on the roads as
one alternative, but said to fix the roads outright it would take the
re-appropriation of funds already designated for other parts of the
county. Earlier this year the Board of Supervisors maxed out
the county’s bonding capacity with a $33 million bond issue, over half
of which will go to the planned Reunion Parkway interchange. Smith
said the county is spending a lot of money on new roadways such as
Reunion and not enough on maintenance of existing roads. “We should be able to take care of our existing roads before we build all of these fancy new roadways,” he said. After
the meeting, Guy Bowering, an Annandale homeowner and head of the board
of directors for the Homeowners Association, said that he was satisfied
with what the mayor promised.“The mayor is very effective at
getting things done, and we are confident that she will get involved
with the project right away,” he said, noting residents have been
waiting more than 10 years for better roads. Before the mayor left the meeting, she guaranteed that in six months she would return with an update of the project.

To the right are the stairs to the second
story. The stairs have an iron railing. At the top of the stairs
you walk out to an open balcony with an upstairs seating area. The
balcony has an iron railing that overlooks the downstairs living area.
Down to the end of the room is a bedroom room with walk in closet and a full
bathroom.
Back downstairs to the left of the living area is
a hallway that accesses a two sided entry laundry room. This hallway takes
you to two additional bedrooms and a double vanity bathroom.
Back into the living area you go to the opposite
side of the room and walk into a small hallway and to the left is the other
entry to the laundry room. The laundry room has a utility sink and room
for an additional refrigerator.
Through the next doorway is the Master Suite.
This large room has a double trayed ceiling and ceiling fan with an added touch
of faux finishing. There is a door to the right as you walk into the room
that opens out onto the back patio/deck area. To the left through double
doors is the master bath. It features separate vanity areas, large
tiled/glass shower, garden tub with large glass window and separate toilet
area. To the left in the bath is the doorway to the large walk in closet
that as built in drawers.
Off the back of the living area is the patio/deck
area. This area is perfect for outside entertaining and has gas line and
electrical installed for the outdoor kitchen to be utilized. The deck has
a railing and stairs to exit out to the lawn.
