Brandon, Mississippi
Brandon is one of the fastest growing areas in Rankin county, with the county courthouse, tax assessors office and all other county municipalities. Between 2000 and 2006, Brandon has seen a dramatic population growth of over 7,000 residents. With over 20 subdivisions (and more to come) actively building houses, Brandon is well poised to continue its outstanding growth. New subdivisions, restaurants, shopping centers and car dealerships are popping up as quick as they can be built.
Searching for something to do should not be a problem here with many lakes, golf courses, shopping centers, martial art studios, gyms, churches, parks, live theater, and many annual events. Every year Brandon sponsors a Day in Shiloh park to celebrate the city, featuring carnival rides, local talent, food vendors and many famous country artist such as Joe Nichols, Darryl Worley and many more. Every Easter the mayor sponsors an egg hunt where the kids find eggs all filled with goodies. Welcome Home to Brandon!
